The tournament will begin on week 6 of MFLS.
League winners and cup winners from the previous season gain automatic entry into the tournament. Teams with the most overall points in the current season will recieve invitations to complete the field. Teams will be seeded on their accomplishments the previous season and the points that they have accumulated at the end of week 5 of MFLS.

The first round will be a group stage. There will be eight groups with six teams in each group. A team will be awarded 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. MFLS points will determine the winner of each match. The top two teams in each group will advance to the knockout stages.

The knockout stages will consist of two game aggregate series. There will be a blind draw with the eight group winners facing off against the eight runner ups. Teams cannot face teams from their previous group in the first knockout round. Whoever scores the most points will move on.
